Lamar Jackson Practices Fully Ahead of Ravens’ Bills Game

Jackson has missed Baltimore’s last three games after injuring his ankle on October 4. The Ravens went 1-2 in his absence and enter Sunday’s road matchup against Buffalo with a 4-3 record. A full practice marked a step forward after Jackson was limited last week and then ruled out against Cincinnati.

Coach Jesse Minter did not confirm whether Jackson would play, saying the team would assess how he responds through the week. Jackson said last Friday that he would judge his mobility and pain before deciding whether he could return. “If I can’t do that, I can’t help my team,” he said.

Backup Tyler Huntley started during Jackson’s absence. He led a late comeback in an overtime win over Atlanta, but Baltimore lost its next two games, against Cleveland and Cincinnati. The Ravens have also dealt with inconsistent offensive-line play and defensive struggles after halftime.

Several other Ravens missed Wednesday’s practice, including safety Kyle Hamilton, safety Jaylinn Hawkins, guard Olaivavega Ioane and linebacker Roquan Smith, all listed with knee injuries. Minter said he was hopeful some sidelined players could return. Ioane, who left Sunday’s game in the first quarter, was not expected to play against Buffalo.

The Bills are 5-1. Jackson’s participation gives Baltimore a chance to have its starting quarterback available, but the team’s decision will depend on his progress during the remaining practices.
