Two Men Die in Willis Shooting Involving a Woman’s Boyfriend and Ex
Deputies responded to a home in the 5000 block of Pleasure Lake Drive at about 7:30 p.m. on November 6, following a 911 caller’s report of an armed assault. They found two men with gunshot wounds; both were pronounced dead at the scene, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said.
Preliminary information indicates the woman’s ex-boyfriend came to the residence and fired at her current partner. The woman then fired at her ex-boyfriend, authorities said. Both men died from their injuries, and the woman was not hurt.
A sheriff’s office sergeant said the men had been involved in an altercation over the woman. Investigators have not announced what prompted the dispute. The men’s names are being withheld while authorities notify their families.
No charges had been filed at the time of the sheriff’s office statements. A grand jury will review the case involving the woman’s actions and decide whether an indictment is warranted. Authorities said the incident involved only the people directly involved and posed no threat to the public.
