Two Skydivers Die After Midair Emergency in Lake Elsinore

Riverside County sheriff’s deputies went to the 20000 block of Cereal Street in Lake Elsinore shortly before noon on November 6 after receiving a call about an air emergency. The two skydivers were found on the ground and given medical assistance, fire officials said.

Both suffered serious harm and were taken to a nearby medical center in critical condition. They later died there.

Witnesses at the scene said the skydivers collided about 50 feet above the ground. Footage recorded nearby captured powerful gusts following the incident, but authorities had not said whether wind played a role.

No further details were immediately available.
