Jordan Love Nears 100th Touchdown as Packers Face Patriots

On November 4, Love entered the week atop the NFL in passing yards and among the league’s MVP contenders. His next touchdown pass would be his 100th in the regular season, a milestone he said he was looking forward to reaching. He has thrown 99 touchdowns in 56 starts, second among Packers quarterbacks at that point in their careers, behind Aaron Rodgers’ 115 and ahead of Brett Favre’s 95.

Love said individual statistics matter less than winning, but called the approaching mark exciting. He is projected to finish with 4,772 passing yards and 34 touchdowns, which would exceed his career bests of 4,159 yards and 32 touchdowns, set in 2023.

Green Bay is 5-3 despite a struggling rushing attack, and Love has accounted for 82% of the team’s offensive production, the highest share in the league entering Week 9. Quarterbacks coach Luke Getsy said Love was comfortable with the offense and focused on doing what the team needed to win. Love said the Packers had adapted and made plays through the air, while crediting the defense for keeping opponents’ scores low.

Tom Brady, the NFL’s career leader with 649 touchdown passes, praised Love’s ability to shoulder the offense. Love said he respected Brady and appreciated the comments.

Christian Watson leads Green Bay with six receiving touchdowns; Tucker Kraft has three, while Matthew Golden has four. Love said the team would remind players to keep the ball if one catches his milestone pass. He is expected to reach 100 against New England if he throws a touchdown Sunday.
