Two Killed in Separate Prince George’s County Shootings

A woman died and a teenage girl suffered critical injuries during gunfire near 8100 15th Avenue in Langley Park early on November 3. Prince George’s County police said officers arrived at about 1:50 a.m. and found two people with gunshot wounds. The woman died at the scene, and the girl was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Detectives are seeking a suspect or suspects and working to determine a motive. Police do not suspect the incident was random. Police asked anyone with information to contact the Homicide Unit at 301-516-2512.

A second fatal shooting occurred later that day. At about 12:25 p.m., officers went to a residence near 1900 Belle Haven Drive and found a man with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are working to identify suspects and establish a motive.

The two killings add to a violent stretch in the county. Since October 27, seven or more people have died, including four on October 29. Police Chief George Nader said, “Even one murder is too many.”
