Jacobs’ Lawyers Dispute Three Earlier Allegations
Jacobs’ lawyers said he disputes three women’s accounts of alleged incidents in 2021 and 2022, which appeared in records released by Hobart-Lawrence police. They described the accounts as uncorroborated and said Jacobs has evidence supporting his denials. The lawyers also accused police of releasing the accounts without investigating whether evidence contradicted them, saying the publicity was harming his career.
The records describe one woman’s allegation that Jacobs slapped her, took her phone and used force when she tried to leave his home. A second woman said he pushed her against a wall and threw out her belongings after a dispute following sex. Police records from that incident said officers saw no visible injuries consistent with an altercation. A third woman alleged that Jacobs grabbed and dragged her and took her phone. Jacobs’ lawyers denied all three accounts and offered explanations for each.
Jacobs pleaded no contest on September 10 to misdemeanor battery and criminal-damage charges over a May altercation with his then-girlfriend. Police said she reported being thrown to the ground and having her phone taken; a criminal complaint said garage surveillance footage supported her account. Jacobs has said he took responsibility for what happened.
After missing the Packers’ first six games while on the NFL commissioner’s exempt list, Jacobs has played in the team’s last two. The league said it would include the new allegations in its ongoing investigation, which could still result in further discipline.
