Jennifer Lawrence Discusses Cosmetic Procedures and Future Facelift

Lawrence has spoken openly about having breast surgery after the birth of her second son, using small amounts of Botox and considering a facelift someday. She said she wants to feel attractive as a mother, while also describing concerns about some procedures, including fat transfers. She has said she would like buccal fat removal but worries it would be noticeable.

The actor has also said she wants her face to retain movement, limiting how much Botox she gets. In September, she described preferring skin that looks dewy even if it is somewhat looser.

Her comments have prompted criticism of a culture in which cosmetic procedures are increasingly normalized. One argument is that celebrity transformations and social media can intensify pressure—especially on young women—to change their appearance, and may encourage people to focus on one perceived flaw after another.

Other celebrities have also discussed treatments and their costs. Actor Barry Keoghan said he felt better about himself after a second XERF skin-tightening session. The clinic’s website lists the treatment at about $3,300 per session.

Celebrities’ willingness to discuss procedures has made the choices more visible, but the debate remains over whether these changes offer confidence or reinforce narrow expectations about how people should look.
