Celebrities Recreate Pop Culture Favorites for Halloween

Celebrities marked Halloween with costumes inspired by pop culture, from famous performers to fictional characters. Paris Hilton recreated Britney Spears’ “I’m a Slave 4 U” performance at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards, and also appeared in family costumes based on The Addams Family and Beauty and the Beast.

Kim Kardashian dressed as her daughter, North West, adopting the teenager’s punk-inspired style. Keke Palmer and her son, age three, honored Janet and Michael Jackson with a recreation of the black-and-white look from their “Scream” music video. Palmer also unveiled a Frankenstein-inspired character.

Other costumes included Janelle Monáe’s original creation, Phish Boy, featuring fish-like skin and oversized, wandering eyes. Lisa Rinna and Michael Gelman dressed as Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet in orange outfits inspired by their Marty Supreme premiere looks.

Among the other celebrity tributes, Chloe Bailey became Family Guy character Meg Griffin, while Alex Consani wore prosthetics and a red jumpsuit to portray a Thumb Thumb from Spy Kids. Newlyweds Karl-Anthony Towns and Jordyn Woods dressed as White Walkers from Game of Thrones.

Television personalities also joined in. Savannah Guthrie appeared as an NBC page, and Carson Daly dressed as country singer Ella Langley. Other looks included Brandy as Barbie, Usher and his family as Toy Story characters, and Camila Mendes and Madelaine Petsch as Betty and Wilma from The Flintstones.
