Driver Charged After Brooklyn Halloween Event Crash Injures Six
Police said Marsh drove onto the pedestrian walkway near Knickerbocker Avenue in Bushwick on October 29, striking pedestrians and a parked ambulance at the precinct’s trunk-or-treat event. The crash injured three children, ages 6, 8 and 11, and three adult women. All six were taken to hospital in stable condition, officials said.
Marsh faces charges including vehicular assault, reckless endangerment, DWI and DWAI, along with traveling on the pedestrian walkway and not wearing a seat belt. Authorities said the 46-year-old passenger in his vehicle was not facing criminal charges; they said she would receive a citation for a traffic violation.
A woman who attended the event described serious injuries to some of the victims, including harm to a child’s arm and injuries to adults’ legs and heads.
