Christian Watson Taken to Hospital After Chest Injury

Watson was injured after making a 53-yard catch from quarterback Jordan Love at Lambeau Field. He collided with Panthers defenders Will Lee III and Zakee Wheatley, and both Watson and Lee remained on the field afterward. Lee was later ruled out with a hamstring injury.

Watson got up and walked to the medical tent, then to the locker room. Before halftime, he entered an ambulance bound for a nearby hospital. Green Bay said he was being taken for precautionary testing, and he was listed as questionable to return with a chest injury.

The receiver had six catches for 100 yards before leaving, leading both teams in receiving at halftime. The 53-yard play helped set up Green Bay’s second touchdown. Watson also had a fumble, but Carolina did not score from it.

Matthew Golden took on a larger role after Watson’s departure and caught a touchdown pass. Tight end Tucker Kraft had scored Green Bay’s first touchdown. The Packers led 20-10 at halftime.

Watson entered the game with 34 receptions for 595 yards and six touchdowns this season. His career has included multiple injuries, including an ACL tear that ended his 2024 season. He had played 17 games since that injury before the October 29 game.
