Todd Chrisley Says He Initially Opposed Daughter’s Age-Gap Romance

Todd Chrisley said he struggled at first with his daughter Savannah’s relationship with Jason Galanis, citing the 27-year age difference. Speaking on Bunnie Xo’s podcast on October 29, he said he had to choose between accepting Savannah’s decision and risking their relationship. He said he did not support the romance initially, but would not let it come between him and his daughter.

Chrisley said Galanis had treated Savannah with respect. He recalled Galanis asking for her hand in marriage and telling him he would make sure Savannah never forgot she was loved. Chrisley said that even if the relationship ended, it had helped his daughter understand how she should be treated.

Savannah, 29, is engaged to Galanis, 56, and expecting their first child. Chrisley said he was excited about becoming a grandfather. He also recalled that he and Savannah had concerns she might struggle to conceive due to endometriosis, and said she became pregnant without assistance.

Galanis has been convicted in multiple financial fraud cases, including a scheme involving $60 million and the Oglala Sioux tribe. He and Chrisley served time at the same federal prison camp in Pensacola, Florida, with their stays overlapping from January to August 2023. Chrisley and his wife, Julie, were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion in 2022; he later received a presidential pardon.

Chrisley hinted that Savannah may reveal more about the relationship next week, including whether she and Galanis have already married. He said the details were hers to share.
