Savannah Chrisley Responds to Criticism After Pregnancy and Marriage Reveal

Savannah Chrisley said the past week had brought harsh judgment as she responded to criticism of her relationship and recent personal news. In an Instagram Story on October 31, the 29-year-old said she was focusing on her faith and choosing not to answer every accusation. She also said she felt grateful and that her faith remained strong despite the attention surrounding her life.

Chrisley had announced on October 27 that she was pregnant and engaged, describing her partner as Jason. His identity was later disclosed as Jason Galanis, 56. The couple wed on July 14 in a service at a Baptist congregation in the Cayman Islands, several months ahead of the pregnancy and engagement announcement.

In 2020, Galanis received a prison term of over 14 years for participating in two fraudulent operations; one cost a Native American tribe and investors tens of millions of dollars. He was also ordered to forfeit about $80 million and pay the same amount in restitution. Chrisley has defended him publicly and has said she is not concerned about criticism of their age difference.
