Curry Sets Age-35 Scoring Mark in Warriors’ Overtime Win

Curry’s 16th game with at least 40 points since turning 35 moved him past LeBron James, who has 15. The 38-year-old also finished with six rebounds and six assists, shooting 13 for 19 from the field and making five of 10 three-pointers. It was his second 40-point performance in eight games this season.

The game was tied late in regulation after Orlando’s Jamal Cain scored on a putback with two seconds remaining. In overtime, Curry’s three-point play gave Golden State the lead with 1:38 left, and he added a layup in the final minute. Orlando’s Wendell Carter Jr. had a chance to tie the score at the free-throw line but missed both attempts with 1:15 to play.

Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg added 23 points and eight rebounds for the Warriors, while Draymond Green recorded 13 assists. Franz Wagner led Orlando with 30 points and 11 assists. The Magic, who had trailed by 16 at halftime, have now lost four straight games at Golden State. The Warriors began the season with three losses but have since put together their longest winning run since March 2025.

Golden State hosts Charlotte on November 9. Orlando visits Sacramento on November 10.
