Warriors Rout Heat for Sixth Consecutive Win

The Golden State Warriors defeated the Miami Heat 120-100 in San Francisco on November 5, earning their sixth straight victory after opening the season with three losses. Stephen Curry led the way with 29 points, while Yaxel Lendeborg had 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Draymond Green recorded a season-best 11 assists.

Curry struggled early, making just two of his first 10 shots by halftime, then found his rhythm in the third quarter. He finished 9 for 19 from the field and made six 3-pointers. His first-quarter 3 also moved him past Oscar Robertson into 17th place on the NBA’s career scoring list. Curry sat late as Golden State built an insurmountable lead.

The decisive stretch came in the third, when Miami was outscored 26-9. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Heat with 20 points and 14 rebounds, while Davion Mitchell scored 22 and added eight assists. Bam Adebayo had 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Klay Thompson scored 11 points in his return to face his former team and received a warm welcome before the game. Andrew Wiggins, also facing his former Warriors teammates, finished with two points. Golden State made 16 of 41 shots from 3-point range. Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said defending the 3-point line was “high on the priority list.” The Heat visit Sacramento on Sunday; the Warriors host Orlando on Saturday night.
