Curry leads Warriors past Suns in tense 116-113 win
Golden State rallied from a 17-point deficit to edge Phoenix 116-113 at Chase Center on November 3. The Warriors took their first lead in the fourth quarter and held off a late Suns push; Collin Gillespie’s three-point attempt at the buzzer missed the mark.
Curry led all scorers with 34 points, including 25 after halftime, and added seven assists and six rebounds. Charles Bassey delivered a career-high 19 points and eight rebounds, while Brandin Podziemski scored 20. Georges Niang added 13 points, and Yaxel Lendeborg had 16.
Green’s night ended early in the third quarter. After a confrontation involving Phoenix center Khaman Maluach and Suns guard Dillon Brooks, Green and Brooks received technicals, and Green was ejected after picking up a second technical in the sequence. The game saw further tensions in the fourth, with Miles Bridges also assessed a technical.
Devin Booker scored 26 for Phoenix but fouled out with less than a minute remaining. Bridges had 21 points, and Brooks finished with 18. The Warriors have won five straight after opening the season 0-3.
Golden State hosts Miami on November 5, while Phoenix is scheduled to host Portland on November 4.
