Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren Celebrate Son’s College Commitment
Woods and Nordegren gathered with 17-year-old Charlie at his high school in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, to mark his commitment to Florida State. The three wore the university’s colors, and Charlie’s coach, Toby Harbeck, was also there. Nordegren’s partner, former NFL player Jordan Cameron, and their children attended as well.
Charlie announced his decision to play for the Seminoles in a social media post. His father congratulated him in the comments, saying he was proud of him as he began a new chapter.
A senior and team captain at the Benjamin School, Charlie is aiming to finish his high school career with a state championship this month. The school’s team has gone unbeaten this season, and Charlie is pursuing a third state title in four years.
Woods has supported his son’s golf development, including caddying for him and helping with his short game. He is expected to attend Charlie’s final high school championship, scheduled for Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
Woods, 50, has not played a professional event since the 2024 Open Championship. A return to competition could come at the Hero World Challenge in December, the PNC Championship later that month or the opening day of the next TGL season on December 27. His participation will depend on his health.
