Meta Adds Custom Spaces to Its Muse AI Assistant

Meta is adding Spaces to its Muse AI assistant, letting users turn ideas into customized, interactive tools inside the app. The company is rolling out the feature to all Muse users alongside a purpose-built edition of its Muse Wonder AI model.

Users can describe what they want, then ask Muse to adjust the result. Examples include shopping hubs, school dashboards, music trackers, trivia games, vacation plans and project boards. Users can add notes, edit content and check off items.

Spaces can connect with relevant apps and services, allowing details such as prices and event dates to refresh in the background. Meta says users can place a Space in the sidebar or main tab and schedule when it appears. A weekly planner, for instance, could be prominent during workdays and replaced by weekend plans on Saturday.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said he had tried the feature to make a barbecue-themed game, a calendar of happenings and a dashboard for managing the home. The company is also exploring options for people to share Spaces and work on them together.

Spaces is the second Muse feature Meta has introduced in the past week. Muse Voice, announced on November 5, lets users video chat with an agent and give it spoken instructions. Zuckerberg said in October that Muse agents had 10 million users in the United States and Canada, less than two months after launch.
