Emily Feingold to Lead Disney Communications

The Walt Disney Co. has appointed Emily Feingold executive vice president of communications, placing her in charge of media relations, financial and technology communications, enterprise editorial, and executive and brand messaging. She is due to begin on November 9 and will answer to Paul Roeder, the company’s senior executive vice president and chief communications officer.

Feingold left Netflix five months ago after nine years with the streaming company, where she most recently led communications in the United States and Canada. During her time there, she advised leaders as Netflix moved into advertising, gaming and live events, and during its CEO succession process.

Before Netflix, Feingold was a senior vice president of corporate strategy and communications at investment firm Andell Inc. and a vice president of corporate communications at Ralph Lauren. She began her career at the White House during the Clinton administration.

Feingold takes over from David Jefferson, who accepted Disney’s voluntary early-retirement offer. Jefferson will stay through the end of November to help with the handover. He joined Disney’s communications team in 2009, later returned to the company in 2013, and became executive vice president of corporate communications in 2025.

Roeder praised Feingold’s experience and standing with colleagues and journalists, and said she would contribute as Disney enters a new chapter. He also thanked Jefferson for his counsel and years of service.
