Eagles Players Address Trade Rumors as Deadline Nears

With the Eagles at 2-6, trade rumors have swirled around several players ahead of Tuesday’s 4 p.m. deadline. Left guard Landon Dickerson dismissed the speculation as propaganda and said his focus was on winning a championship. He added that any trade decision was not up to him and described Philadelphia as his home for now.

Tight end Dallas Goedert said he was concentrating on practice, meetings and preparing for the team’s ninth-week home matchup with the New York Giants. Defensive tackle Moro Ojomo said he valued the opportunity given to him by general manager Howie Roseman and owner Jeffrey Lurie, and wanted to keep producing for the city. He also said he hoped a new contract could be worked out.

Possible trade candidates discussed include offensive lineman Tyler Steen, whose current deal expires after this season, along with Goedert, cornerback Riq Woolen and Ojomo. The Eagles traded center Cam Jurgens earlier in October, receiving a 2028 second-round pick and a fifth-round pick for next year.

Coach Nick Sirianni said he keeps in touch with players about what they are going through, including in individual conversations. Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said he would address a rumor if he believed it was gaining traction without basis, but he had not seen one that fit that description. Roseman could still make a deal if he receives strong value, while moving key offensive linemen could leave major gaps to fill.
