Trade Ideas Target Bills, Broncos and Steelers Before NFL Deadline
With the NFL trade deadline approaching on November 10, suggested moves for teams in the playoff picture range from plausible additions to major long shots. The proposals are possibilities, not completed deals; the Bills, Broncos and Steelers are among the teams highlighted for potential upgrades.
Buffalo’s defense has received strong play from its front, but the team has allowed the league’s fifth-most completions of at least 20 yards. One proposed high-profile target is Falcons safety Jessie Bates, whose 2026 totals include three pass breakups, an interception and three forced fumbles. A more attainable option is Titans safety Amani Hooker, viewed as a complement to Bills safety Cole Bishop.
For Denver, the ambitious suggestion is Colts running back Jonathan Taylor, whose explosiveness could add big-play ability to an offense ranked 26th in explosive-play rate. The more realistic proposal is Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert. Denver tight ends have produced the NFL’s second-lowest receiving-yard total this season, and Goedert is in the final year of his contract.
Pittsburgh could pursue Colts receiver Josh Downs to help against man coverage, where the Steelers have ranked near the bottom of the league in efficiency. Another option is Commanders cornerback Amik Robertson, who offers versatility in the secondary. For Jacksonville, the proposals focus on defensive tackle after Davon Hamilton’s season-ending injury: Christian Barmore as a long shot and Zach Sieler as a more realistic target.
