Philippine Inquiry Expands to Meghan Markle’s Half-Brother
Philippine Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said the inquiry into Thomas Markle Sr. had expanded to consider whether his son, Thomas Markle Jr., was involved. A witness told investigators that minors had been taken to a home linked to the case, Remulla said at a press conference in Manila on November 5, 2026.
Authorities have designated Markle Jr. a person of interest, not a suspect. Remulla said investigators had asked him about the allegation. Markle Jr. reportedly said he had been making TikTok videos, and the inquiry into his possible involvement is continuing.
The investigation began after Markle Jr. reported his father to police in Cebu, Philippines. Officers are examining alleged child abuse images found among belongings connected to Markle Sr. in the Philippines and in a storage locker in Rosarito, Mexico. Markle Sr., 82, has denied the allegations and described them as lies.
Markle Jr. has also told the FBI about two storage units in Los Angeles that he says his father rented for years. He has said they contained Meghan Markle’s former furniture and college belongings, as well as boxes of his father’s career memorabilia. The FBI has been told where the units are, and the contents are expected to be part of the investigation.
