Garrett Returns to Limited Rams Practice

Garrett joined the Rams for a limited workout November 4, his first on-field practice since undergoing surgery on his left knee. He has missed seven games, and the team has not decided whether he will play against the Commanders on November 8 at Northwest Stadium.

Coach Sean McVay planned for Garrett to take about half of the usual practice repetitions. Garrett practiced rushing the passer in individual work while reporters watched. The Rams will assess his response each day, then determine whether to place him on the active roster.

McVay said the decision would depend in part on Garrett’s feedback and how he performs as practice continues. The coach said the team had taken care to evaluate his recovery before bringing him back into workouts. Garrett’s surgery followed Los Angeles’ season-opening loss to San Francisco.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford said he was glad Garrett felt ready to practice, while emphasizing that the aim is for him to contribute in games. The Rams, who have won two straight, enter the week at 4-4. Washington is 2-4-1.
