Availability Report Raises Questions for Michigan-Michigan State
The teams issued their initial availability reports Wednesday night, three days before their game, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on Peacock. Michigan State listed 13 players as out and five as questionable. Michigan listed six out, six questionable and offensive lineman Jake Guarnera as probable.
Milivojevic, who missed Michigan State’s game against UCLA two weeks earlier after an apparent injury, is questionable again. If he cannot play, freshman Kayd Coffman is expected to start. The Spartans also listed running backs Jaziun Patterson and Marvis Parrish as out, leaving Kenneth Williams and Brandon Tullis among the leading remaining options at the position.
Defensive tackle Ben Roberts is also out. He was injured on the first defensive play against UCLA and left the field using crutches and a wheelchair. Tight end Jayden Savoury, who has 29 catches for 271 yards, was another notable absence on the report.
Michigan State cornerbacks Tyran Chappell and Keshawn Williams are questionable, potentially opening the door for help in the secondary. Chappell had been the team’s most reliable corner before an early-season injury, while Williams is a key backup.
Michigan’s out list includes wide receivers Kendrick Bell and Braydon Alford, along with running back Micah Ka'apana, who is out for the season. Safety Rod Moore, defensive end Dom Nichols and offensive lineman Brady Norton are among the Wolverines listed as questionable. The reports are initial designations ahead of Saturday’s game.
