Teen arrested in Dorchester double-homicide case
The juvenile was taken into custody without incident in Foxborough on November 4, 2026, on a warrant charging him with two counts of murder and a firearms offense. Officers from state and local agencies helped make the arrest, and the teen was transported to Boston. His name has not been released because he is a minor.
Authorities say the case concerns the May 24, 2025, shooting of Walter Wilkins, 36, a Quincy resident, and Anthony McIntosh, 66, who lived in Dorchester, on Franklin Hill Avenue. Boston police arrived shortly before 10 p.m. and found both men with gunshot wounds. They were taken to hospitals, where one died and the second passed away from his wounds.
The warrant was issued by Suffolk Superior Court. The firearms charge is described as possessing a gun without a permit, with a prior offense. The charges are accusations; the arrest does not establish guilt.
U.S. Marshal Dennis Matulewicz said the arrest could not reverse the deaths, but he hoped it would offer some comfort to the families and bring them closer to justice. Wilkins’s mother previously described her son as well-liked and recalled that he had told her he would return home later on the day he was killed.
