Tony Awards Extend CBS Broadcast Deal Through 2032

The Tony Awards will continue airing on CBS through 2032, extending a relationship with the network that began in 1978. The award presenters—the Wing and Broadway’s League—announced the agreement with CBS on November 4. The Tonys have been broadcast on the network for 48 years.

The 80th annual ceremony is set for Sunday, June 13, 2027. It will air live across the United States on CBS and stream on Paramount+ in the U.S. Further details about the ceremony are expected in the coming weeks.

Heather Hitchens, who leads the American Theatre Wing as its president and CEO, and Jason Laks, head of the Broadway League, said the organizations were pleased to continue the partnership and looked forward to the awards’ 80th anniversary. CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach said the ceremony would continue to bring Broadway performances and artists to viewers nationwide.

Sarah Levine Hall, Jack Sussman and Raj Kapoor are returning to produce the 2027 show. Kapoor and Hall will share showrunner duties. Menton and Paine will serve as co-executive producers, with Menton additionally handling talent.
