Jonah Coleman Emerges as Denver’s Lead Fantasy Back

November 2, 2026

Week 8 delivered a major shift in Denver’s backfield, where rookie Jonah Coleman took on a leading role in the Broncos’ win over Kansas City. He ran 11 times for 47 yards and a touchdown, and added four catches for 63 yards. J.K. Dobbins had seven carries for 13 yards and no targets. Coleman has now looked like Denver’s top running back in consecutive games, giving him the potential to be a regular No. 2 fantasy option if the team does not add another back.

Kansas City rookie Emmett Johnson also broke out, catching all five targets for 128 yards and a touchdown while adding one carry. Detroit’s Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 153 yards and a score. Cleveland tight end Harold Fannin Jr. caught 10 passes for 154 yards, while Jacksonville’s Bhaysul Tuten led his team in rushing and receiving, scoring once on the ground and once through the air.

Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson injured his thumb soon after returning and was placed on injured reserve; he may miss the rest of the season. Tyler Huntley, meanwhile, suffered turf toe, potentially making Joe Fagnano the starter in the near term. Elsewhere, Atlanta quarterback Michael Penix Jr. threw four interceptions, and Tampa Bay won despite Baker Mayfield completing none of his three attempts.

Arizona replaced Jacoby Brissett with Gardner Minshew at halftime, and Minshew immediately improved the offense. Omar Cooper Jr., after strong recent performances, went without a target despite playing 78% of the snaps; Adonai Mitchell caught seven passes for 142 yards and a touchdown. Minnesota tight end T.J. Hockenson remained a viable fantasy starter, while Seattle receiver DK Metcalf’s quiet game prompted questions about expectations heading into his bye.
