Glenn says Jets will keep Breece Hall amid trade speculation
Glenn reiterated that Hall remains part of the Jets’ plans after the team’s 38-33 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on November 1. Asked about trade rumors, the coach said the team is focused on retaining its good players and described Hall as one of them. The Jets have a 2-6 record.
Hall has missed five games with a quadriceps injury, and is expected to return this week. Allen has taken over in his absence, rushing for 147 yards and a touchdown against Las Vegas. He has surpassed 100 rushing yards in three of his five starts, helping prompt questions about whether the Jets might trade Hall.
Hall, 25, had his first 1,000-yard season last year and signed a multiyear contract with the Jets in May. His name has featured in trade speculation, including discussion of a possible Kansas City Chiefs offer. New York traded defensive tackle Quinnen Williams and cornerback Sauce Gardner at last year’s deadline, but Glenn’s comments signal the team’s current stated intention is to keep Hall. The trade deadline is November 10 at 4 p.m.
