Pacers Seek to End Home Losing Streak Against Hawks
The Atlanta Hawks visit the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis on November 2, with tipoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Eastern. Indiana has lost its first three home games, while Atlanta is 2-2 on the road. It is the teams’ first meeting of the season. Atlanta is listed as a 4.5-point favorite, with the over-under at 231.5 points.
Both teams are coming off losses: Atlanta fell to New Orleans by 21 points, and Indiana lost to Brooklyn on Sunday. The Hawks are 3-4 and the Pacers 2-5. Indiana finished last season 19-63, including an 11-30 home record; Atlanta went 46-36 and allowed 116 points per game.
Several players are expected to be unavailable. Indiana’s listed absences include Tyrese Haliburton, Ben Sheppard, Ivica Zubac, Obi Toppin, Johnny Furphy and T.J. McConnell. Atlanta’s Jock Landale, Henri Veesaar and Mouhamed Gueye are out, while Jalen Johnson is listed as day to day with an ankle issue. Johnson’s availability could affect Atlanta’s frontcourt, where Asa Newell and rookie Zuby Ejiofor may be options for added minutes. Atlanta guard Kingston Flemings is also set to miss the game after an NBA suspension.
