Pacers look to end skid against winless Nets
The Nets enter the matchup 0-5, while the Pacers are 2-4 and have lost three straight. Indiana defeated Brooklyn 136-109 on October 25, and the teams are facing one another again. Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with 24 points in that game, and Nolan Traore scored 17 for the Nets.
Indiana will be without Haliburton, who is out with a hamstring injury, along with Ben Sheppard, Ivica Zubac, Obi Toppin and T.J. McConnell. Johnny Furphy is out for the season with an ACL injury. Brooklyn’s Egor Demin is also unavailable with a leg injury.
Pascal Siakam is a key threat for Indiana, with the ability to attack the rim, shoot from outside and defend across positions. Andrew Nembhard could see more playing time with Haliburton out. Brooklyn will need Julius Randle to lead its offense by putting pressure on the rim, while creating opportunities for Michael Porter Jr. and other teammates.
The Nets have struggled to get production from their point guards and have had inconsistent shooting from Randle and Porter. Moe Wagner has been a bright spot, contributing with his scoring and passing. The game is scheduled for 5 p.m. EST in Indianapolis.
