Melissa Rycroft Arrested After Ambulance Hit-and-Run in Texas

Police said officers responded at about 5:50 p.m. on October 31 to a reported hit-and-run involving an ambulance stopped at a stop sign in Southlake. The vehicle had struck the ambulance and driven away, authorities said. No injuries were reported.

Officers later found the driver, identified as Melissa Rycroft, 43, and arrested her on November 1. She was booked at the Keller facility, with bail fixed at $9,000.

Rycroft faces a DWI charge, along with charges related to the collision and her driving status. The reported collision charge concerns damage to a vehicle of at least $200. Police said the investigation is ongoing.

The arrest comes after Rycroft pleaded guilty in August to a DWI stemming from a September 2025 incident. She received 20 months of probation and was ordered to pay $2,087 in fines. The terms also included 36 hours of community service, a DWI education course, substance-use restrictions and an ignition interlock device.

Rycroft was a contestant on The Bachelor and competed on Dancing with the Stars, and was a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. Her attorney previously said an arrest is an allegation and does not establish guilt.
