Police Search for E-Bike Rider in Bed-Stuy Sexual Assault

The woman, 27, was walking near Bedford and Willoughby avenues in Bedford-Stuyvesant when a man riding an e-bike came up behind her and struck her on the buttocks, police said. He rode away, then returned and followed her into a nearby apartment building as she tried to enter it.

Police said the man sexually assaulted her inside the building, on a staircase, before leaving on the e-bike. Emergency medical services transported her to a nearby hospital, where her condition was reported as stable.

The NYPD has released surveillance images of the man and is seeking information about him. He was last seen wearing gray pants, a black jacket and a beanie, police said. No arrests have been made.
