Two Killed and One Injured in Philadelphia Shootings

Three shootings across Philadelphia on October 31 left a teenager and a 40-year-old man dead and a 32-year-old man injured. The incidents happened within about half an hour, police said.

In West Philadelphia, officers found the 40-year-old with multiple gunshot wounds on the 1200 block of North Redfield Street. He was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and died there. Investigators believe the shooting was domestic in nature and say the victim and suspect had each been romantically involved with one individual. Police know who they believe the suspect is, but no arrest has been made.

About a minute after the West Philadelphia shooting was reported, officers responded to the 3600 block of Richmond Street in Port Richmond. A 15-year-old boy with multiple gunshot wounds was transported to Temple University Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

A third shooting occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. in Fairhill, on the 200 block of East Cambria Street. The 32-year-old victim was shot in the hip and was in stable condition that evening. Police searched all three scenes and recovered no weapons. No arrests had been made in connection with the shootings, and investigators asked anyone with information to contact Philadelphia police at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
