Zendaya Recreates Halle Berry’s Lanvin Look for Halloween

Zendaya marked Halloween on October 31 by revisiting one of Halle Berry’s best-known red-carpet looks. She wore a yellow-and-brown geometric Lanvin set, pairing a bikini top with low-rise pants, in a version of Berry’s ensemble at the 2000 New York launch of the X-Men film.

Zendaya’s stylist of many years, Law Roach, shared images of the actress wearing the vintage ensemble alongside photographs of Berry in the original. Roach credited the Lanvin team for helping make the look possible. Zendaya also wore a short pixie cut, echoing Berry’s hairstyle.

The costume followed another recent tribute to Berry: Zendaya wore a short hairstyle and a Prada gown to the 2026 Emmy Awards, prompting comparisons between the two actresses. Berry praised Zendaya in September, saying she was proud that Zendaya had honored her and that she admired what the younger actress was doing.

Berry has also said she speaks with Zendaya and would like to work with her someday. Roach said Zendaya was taking time to rest after a busy year. He added that the two were preparing for the press tour for Dune: Part Three, which is scheduled to arrive in theaters in December.
