Webster Hit-and-Run Kills Man and Critically Injures Woman

Webster police are looking for a driver who struck two pedestrians and left the scene on October 30. Officers responded shortly after 9:30 p.m. to Water Street’s 200 block, where they found two seriously injured pedestrians: a 24-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman.

The man died at the scene. The woman was transported to a hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery; she remained in critical condition, police said.

Investigators are seeking a late-model red Chevrolet sedan with major damage to its front end. The car may be an Impala, and its last known location was the Mont Belvieu area, police said. No suspect has been identified, and police have not released the victims’ names.
