Novi police said Holly Turner Welch, 77, was found safe and returned to her residence after she was reported missing in Novi, Michigan, on October 30. She had departed Brookdale Senior Living on West Park Drive, where she was last seen around 6 p.m., police said.

During the search, police asked residents to help locate Welch. She was described as dressed in gray and carrying a handbag along with a paper drawing pad.

Her caregivers said Welch has dementia and could become confused or disoriented. Police said she did not have access to a vehicle or a cell phone.
