Serena Williams Debuts Icy Silver-Blond Hair at Los Angeles Gala

Serena Williams swapped her familiar honey-blond look for icy silver-blond hair at the Airbnb.org Gala in Los Angeles on October 28. The 45-year-old tennis champion wore her hair in long, voluminous waves with a deep side part.

Williams paired the new color with a fitted, hand-beaded animal-print Clio Peppiatt gown featuring a thigh-high slit. A diamond-chain pendant, silver earrings, a watch and black pointed pumps completed the look; she wore a bright lip color and red nails.

The shade builds on earlier platinum and silver-blond styles Williams has worn, including at a Paris event in 2024 and in an Instagram post last October. After an absence of roughly four years, she resumed competitive play in June, but sustained a knee injury during Wimbledon.

Williams has also discussed taking a GLP-1 medication. In an advertisement for telehealth company Ro, she said she lost 31 pounds over eight months after beginning treatment. She has described feeling more energetic and mentally lighter, and said she had struggled to reach a healthy weight despite her athletic background.
