A 'compulsion' to hurt kids: San Diego woman pleads guilty to killing best friend's baby

On October 29, 2026, Nicole Virzi, 32, of San Diego, pleaded guilty in Pittsburgh to killing 6-week-old Leon Katz and abusing his twin brother, Ari. The babies were injured while Virzi visited their family in June 2024.
