Taiwan Content Funds Back 27 Projects With NT$5.64 Billion

The Taiwan Creative Content Agency and its partners have invested NT$5.64 billion ($180 million) in 27 projects through four joint-venture funds, according to TAICCA chair Sue Wang, who spoke at the Taiwan Creative Content Fest on November 8, 2026. TAICCA provided NT$740 million, with private investors supplying NT$4.9 billion. Wang said the partnerships use professional investment assessment and management.

Enjoy Entertainment, a TAICCA partnership with Far EasTone Telecommunications and Far Reach Entertainment, has backed 15 projects. Its slate includes the Taiwanese remake of Korean drama Our Blues, set to launch globally on Netflix on December 3, and horror film The Rope Curse 4: Kuntilanak, which earned NT$80 million in Taiwan theaters. Other projects include musicals, a festival featuring Taiwanese musicians and an immersive exhibition about illustrator Jimmy Liao’s work.

The Momomini Kids Content Fund has invested in six projects, including animation Feifei, adapted from Taiwanese artist Bei Lynn’s stories, and Mogu & Perol, made with French company Zephyr. Its slate also includes Hello, Mr. President!, a drama about a child traveling to Taipei to meet the president. The series is in post-production and is scheduled to air in January 2027.

Joint Journey Creative is investing in Taiwanese film and television and developing international partnerships. Its projects include several Taiwanese films and season six of Japanese drama Midnight Diner. The fund also runs workshops introducing Taiwanese writers to producers in South Korea and Japan.

The Chunghwa Digital Cultural and Creative Fund has NT$1 billion in capital and invests in companies as well as individual projects. Its slate includes the drama C’est la Vie, with Esther Liu as producer and lead actor, and action comedy Call of Lobster, featuring Chang Chen and Choi Siwon. The fund also holds stakes in production company DaMou Entertainment and IP development company Horiza Creations.
