Police Search Sea Cliff Home at Center of Deed Fraud Case
Officers served a search warrant at the four-bedroom house at 250 32nd Avenue around 7:30 a.m. on November 6. Video showed police searching the property, taking away evidence bags and leading one person away in handcuffs. Officers also towed a Porsche, and windows were later boarded up. Police have not said how many people were taken into custody or what charges could follow. Animal Care and Control removed seven pit bulls, including puppies.
The roughly $4 million house has been at the center of alleged squatting and ownership disputes. The city attorney sued Brandon Aadee and Diana Peng, alleging they used forged deeds to claim the property. The city says some notarizations and signatures were fabricated. Records showed at least seven competing deed filings, and the property was reportedly offered for sale below market value.
Neighbors said people had been coming and going for more than a year and welcomed the police action after repeated requests for intervention. One neighbor said she had contacted city officials frequently. Residents also raised concerns about barking and distressed-sounding dogs.
The home’s former owners reportedly left around 2020 and owe about $340,000 in back taxes. The Board of Supervisors voted last month to put the property up for auction, with a notice at the house listing a December sale unless the overdue taxes and costs are paid. The district attorney’s office declined to comment on the pending investigation.
