Dog Dies After Twin Peaks Apartment Fire

More than 100 firefighters responded to a fire at 10 Argent Alley, near the 3800 block of Market Street, on the morning of November 3. The blaze began around 9 a.m. and was under control by about 10 a.m., fire officials said.

Flames affected the building’s third and fourth floors, while damage was reported throughout the four-story structure. Residents evacuated on their own, and no people were reported hurt.

A dog rescued from the building later died from its injuries. Firefighters also found a missing family cat during their work inside and brought it out; the cat is likely to recover.

The fire department’s preliminary assessment listed damage to three units and said three to four people were displaced. Assistance was being provided to those residents, with the figures subject to change. Investigators have not yet determined what started the fire.

Reported by ABC7 San Francisco, SFist.
