Taylor Swift-Signed Guitar Returns to Benefit Mesa Foster Students

Published November 6, 2026. A guitar signed by Taylor Swift is being raffled for the third time to raise money for Shade Tree Academy, a Mesa school serving children in foster care. The winner is scheduled to be announced November 7 at the academy’s grand opening and ribbon-cutting celebration.

The guitar has already been auctioned twice for the organization. Both previous winners returned it so it could be used to raise support again, the academy’s co-founder, Susan Mulhearn, said.

Mulhearn said the guitar had helped children twice and praised the winners’ decision to give it back. She said the academy was looking forward to what its next raffle would bring.

Shade Tree Academy provides a therapeutic educational setting for East Valley children in foster care. Proceeds from the guitar’s earlier auctions helped the school continue its work.

Raffle tickets are available for $25 for one entry, $50 for three entries or $100 for eight. Sales close November 7 at 6:30 p.m., ahead of the announcement at the celebration. The raffle offers another chance for the signed guitar to benefit the academy’s students.
