Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa Mark DWTS Run With Tattoos

Stiles and Sosa unveiled their tattoos on Instagram on November 5, two days after their elimination from the ABC competition’s 35th season. The pair finished in eighth place, with their exit following Disney Night performances on November 3.

Each has eight small stars tattooed on a wrist, one for every dance they shared. Sosa also had a chair inked on his ribs, a nod to the prop Stiles used in Save the Last Dance and in the pair’s jazz routine on the show. Stiles’ additional tattoo reads “diva check,” the phrase Sosa said he used to ask how she was doing.

The idea of getting tattoos together came up early in their training, Sosa said in September, though they planned to wait and see how the season went before choosing designs. He has previously marked DWTS seasons with tattoos: “nothing,” a reference to partner Anna Delvey’s comment about what she took from the show, and matching “just married” ink with gymnast Jordan Chiles amid speculation about their relationship.

After the elimination, Stiles wrote that the pair had “won in so many ways.” Sosa has also said he wants to dance with a same-sex partner on the show next season, and has raised the possibility with casting directors. He said he is passionate about same-sex dancing and being part of the queer community.
