Gourmia Recalls Nearly 176,000 Target Air Fryers Over Burn Risk
The affected Gourmia 9-slice digital air-frying oven with a stainless-steel finish, model GTF7530, has two spring-loaded glass doors. The doors may shut without warning if bumped, creating a risk of burns. The model and UPC, 810002862779, are printed on the unit’s rear label; they may also appear on the packaging.
Gourmia received 57 reports of doors closing as people removed food from the ovens. The incidents caused 40 burn injuries, including burns to hands and wrists, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said.
Target sold the ovens in stores nationwide and through Target.com from October 2021 through June 2026 for about $150. The recall covers approximately 175,951 units.
Owners should stop using the ovens and reach out to Gourmia to request a complimentary repair kit. It includes a doorstop that attaches to the unit and instructions for installing it.
