Eight Charged in Alleged $7 Million SNAP Fraud Scheme

An alleged fraud operation drained more than $7 million from the food assistance accounts of thousands of New Yorkers, prosecutors say. The scheme ran from April 2023 to September 2025, and eight people have been indicted in connection with it.
