Callis Family Wins AEW’s Blood and Guts Main Event
AEW’s November 4 Dynamite featured two Blood and Guts matches, with the women’s bout opening the show. Harley Cameron, Queen Aminata, Kris Statlander, Willow Nightingale, Alex Windsor and Jaime Hayter defeated Thekla, Persephone, Megan Bayne, Skye Blue, Lena Kross and Julia Hart. The match used weapons including chairs, tables, barbed wire and glass; Hart submitted to end it. Bayne bled heavily during the fight.
In the main event, Kyle Fletcher led the Don Callis Family to victory over Steven Borden, Darby Allin, the Young Bucks, Will Ospreay and Adam Copeland. The finish came after Fletcher threatened Ospreay with a screwdriver while Okada restrained Copeland with a chain. Copeland surrendered to stop the attack, giving the Callis Family the win. Fletcher then declared he would become world champion at Full Gear, and Wardlow threw Allin from the cage through four tables.
Earlier, Bandido and Swerve Strickland became involved in a backstage brawl with their respective allies. Hangman Page told Brodido that Strickland had provoked the confrontation. Bandido then challenged Page to a Texas Death Match at Full Gear, and Page accepted.
Mick Foley, who had interviewed Ospreay’s team before the main event, praised the women’s match afterward on Instagram and singled out Bayne’s performance. Foley said the bout would be a defining one in Bayne’s career.
