Coral Way Reopens After Crash Amid Large Police Response
Police closed Coral Way near Southwest 72nd Avenue on the evening of November 4 after a white sedan came to a crash-damaged stop. The roadway was later reopened. The scene was also described as near Southwest 74th Avenue.
Officers from multiple agencies gathered around the sedan, which had a shattered window. Vehicles at the scene included several Florida Highway Patrol units and plain cars, among them a Mustang, a Ram pickup and a van.
Authorities had not confirmed what led to the crash or the law enforcement response. Initial, unconfirmed information raised the possibility that the incident was connected to a home invasion robbery in Miami-Dade County, but officials had not verified that account.
Officials had not said whether anyone suffered injuries or was detained. The circumstances of the incident remained under investigation as the road reopened.
