SUV Crashes Into Tamarac Restaurant After Two-Vehicle Collision

The crash happened Friday afternoon at 5299 North State Road 7, near Commercial Boulevard and U.S. 441. The vehicle came to a stop inside the building, with its rear end protruding from the side of the business, Flavor Bar Restaurant & Bakery, an eatery specializing in Haitian food.

Tamarac Fire Rescue said the driver overcorrected after what appeared to be a two-vehicle crash. The collision sent the SUV into the restaurant. Police cruisers and a fire engine were at the scene.

A woman was taken to a nearby hospital. Her condition was not known. Inspectors were heading to the property to assess the building’s structural integrity.
