‘It still doesn’t seem real’: Inside Talarico’s historic victory party in Austin

On Tuesday night, November 3, Democrat James Talarico defeated Republican Ken Paxton in the Texas U.S. Senate race, and Democrat Gina Hinojosa defeated Gov. Greg Abbott to become Texas’s first Latina governor. Supporters celebrated at Talarico’s watch party at Austin’s Long Center for the Performing Arts.
