Nassau Officers Bring Superheroes to Bellmore School

Students at Winthrop Avenue School in Bellmore, New York, were greeted by Nassau County police officers dressed as comic-book superheroes on November 4. The officers’ arrival drew cheers from the children.

Among the characters represented were Superman and Batman. The visit was a community outreach event intended to connect officers with children and families.

The department also stages a signature superhero event during the holiday season. In that tradition, officers visit children before Christmas with Santa Claus.
