Two Dead in Bronx Apartment Shooting
Police responding to a 911 call shortly after 9 p.m. on November 3 found Andrea Cantarini, 37, and a 38-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the head inside an apartment at 3950 Blackstone Avenue in the Bronx. Emergency medical personnel pronounced both dead at the scene. Cantarini lived in the building.
Investigators believe the shooting followed a domestic dispute between the couple. The man was described as Cantarini’s boyfriend. A father called 911 after hearing his daughter scream and what sounded like three gunshots during a phone call, sources familiar with the investigation said. He also reportedly heard the man say, “It’s over for her.”
Police have not publicly identified the man. A gun thought to have been involved in the shooting was recovered at the scene. No arrests were reported, and the investigation remains ongoing.
